Wayne Maurice Henderson (born September 24, 1939 – died April 5, 2014) was an American musician. He played the trombone. He was also a record producer, which means he helped make music albums. Wayne was a big part of soul jazz and hard bop music.

In 1961, he helped start a band called The Jazz Crusaders. He left the band in 1976 to focus on producing music. But in 1995, he brought The Jazz Crusaders back together! Later, in 2007, Wayne started working at the California College of Music in Pasadena, California. Wayne Henderson passed away in 2014 at the age of 74.
