The Weller River is part of the Portneuf Regional County Municipality. This area is in the Capitale-Nationale region of Quebec.

People use the land around the river for different things. In the upper part of the river, people mostly work in forestry. This means they cut down trees for wood. In the lower part of the river, farming is the main activity.

The River's Journey

The Weller River starts at a lake called Lac Carillon. This lake is about 3.3 kilometers long. It sits high up, at 219 meters above sea level. Lac Carillon is located between the towns of Saint-Ubalde and Notre-Dame-de-Montauban. Some houses and vacation spots are built around parts of the lake.

From Lac Carillon, the Weller River flows for about 16.7 kilometers. As it travels, it drops 73 meters in height. The river passes through Lac Sept Îles, which is 2.0 kilometers long. It also flows through another lake called Lake Weller.

The Weller River eventually joins the Blanche River. This meeting point is about 4.0 kilometers east of the center of Saint-Ubalde.
