Wells Fargo Place is an important part of the Saint Paul skyline. It is located at 30 East 7th Street. This building is used for offices. Many different businesses have their workplaces inside.
Building Details
The building has 37 floors. It was designed by two groups of architects. These were Winsor/Faricy Architects, Inc. and WZMH Architects. Construction started in 1985. The building was finished in September 1987. It officially opened its doors on September 11, 1987.
A New Name for a Tall Building
When it first opened, Wells Fargo Place had a different name. It was known as The Minnesota World Trade Center. Later, its name changed to Wells Fargo Place. This is the name it uses today.
Art Inside the Building
Inside the lobby of Wells Fargo Place, you can find a large sculpture. It is called Anthrosphere. A famous artist named Paul Granlund created this artwork. It adds a special touch to the building's entrance.
