Becoming a Voice Actress
Early Life and Training
Wendee Lee loved dance and theater when she was younger. As a teenager, she became a full-time dancer. She also started practicing different voices at school, which sometimes got her into trouble!
Starting Her Voice Acting Journey
Wendee Lee's first voice role in an anime was in the 1980s show Robotech. She voiced a character named Vanessa Leeds. She also worked on other anime shows like Dragon Ball. For a while, she continued dancing and also worked as a make-up artist and dance teacher.

Wendee Lee has voiced many popular anime characters. Some of her most famous roles include Kei in Akira, Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop, and Myōjin Yahiko in Rurouni Kenshin.
She also voiced Takeru "T.K." Takaishi in Digimon Adventure. Later, she became the voice of Haruhi Suzumiya in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Konata Izumi in Lucky Star.
