Wesley Cox (born January 27, 1955 – died November 17, 2024) was an American professional basketball player. He played as a Small forward. Wesley Cox was known for his time with the Golden State Warriors in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was chosen by the Warriors in the 1977 NBA Draft.

Early Life and High School Career
Wesley Cox was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He went to Male High School in his hometown. During his high school years, Wesley was a very talented player. In 1973, he was recognized as a second-team Parade All-American. This honor meant he was one of the best high school basketball players in the country.
College Basketball Journey
After high school, Wesley Cox continued his basketball career in college. He played for the Louisville Cardinals from 1973 to 1977. His time at Louisville was successful. In 1977, he was named a first-team All-Metro Conference player. This showed he was one of the top players in his college conference.
Professional NBA Career
Wesley Cox began his professional career in 1977. He was drafted by the Golden State Warriors as the eighteenth pick. This meant he was one of the first players chosen in the draft. He played for the Warriors for two seasons. During his time in the NBA, he averaged 4.6 points per game. He also averaged 2.8 rebounds per game. His NBA career lasted from 1977 to 1979.
