The Western Red Hunter is a cool type of dragonfly! Its scientific name is Austrogomphus gordoni, and it belongs to a family of dragonflies called Gomphidae. You can find these amazing insects living in streams and pools in Western Australia.
This dragonfly is quite small. It has a striking look with a black and yellow body. One of its most special features is the bright red tip on its tail, which is how it got the "red hunter" part of its name!
