The Company's History
Why Wet Planet Beverages Faced Challenges
On September 28, 2009, Wet Planet Beverages, through its company The Jolt Company, Inc., faced financial difficulties. They had to file for a special legal process called Chapter 11 bankruptcy. This happened because they could not meet an agreement with another company called Rexam. The agreement was about buying special resealable cans for their drinks.
Jolt Cola's Return to Stores
Several years after Wet Planet Beverages faced these challenges, Jolt Cola made a comeback. In 2017, Jolt Cola returned to stores through a special deal with Dollar General Stores. However, Wet Planet Beverages no longer owned the Jolt Cola brand name. A different company, ECC Jolt, LLC, which is based in Manhattan, was responsible for bringing Jolt Cola back to the market.
