Wheatland (sometimes called Pasadena) is a small place in New Jersey. It's not a city or town with its own government. Instead, it's part of Manchester Township in Ocean County.
Wheatland is about 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Whiting. It is located along an old train line. This train line, the New Jersey Southern Railroad, is no longer used.
East of Wheatland, you can find the Pasadena Wildlife Management Area. This is a special place where nature and animals are protected.
A Look Back in Time
In the 1870s, a factory was built in Wheatland. This factory used sand from nearby pits. Workers used the sand to make clay drain pipes.
By 1882, Wheatland had its own post office. At that time, about 125 people lived there.
