Wheelgate Park facts for kids

Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park is a fun family theme park and water park located in Farnsfield, Nottinghamshire, England. It covers a large area of 30 acres! When you visit, your ticket includes access to two big indoor play areas, a farm, and a water park.

The park used to be called Wonderland Adventure Park. In 2007, new owners took over and changed its name to Wheelgate Park. They made many improvements, adding new indoor play centers and exciting play equipment. In December 2012, it became "Robin Hoods Wheelgate Park" after a new water park was built, which opened in early 2013. The park is open all year, except for Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

At Wheelgate Park, you can meet many different animals! The park has special areas where kids can see and learn about the animal residents. In the Animal Adventure Zone, you might see rabbits, friendly goats, ponies, and even some snakes and other reptiles. There are also mongooses, llamas, pigs, and many types of birds. Black Diamond Mining Zone

Dig into fun at the Black Diamond Mining Zone. Here, you'll find exciting rides and a large sand play area where you can dig for treasures. This zone is also home to the park's only roller coaster, the High Hazel Mine Train!

Land of The Pharaohs Zone

Journey to ancient Egypt in the Land of The Pharaohs Zone. This 20,000 square foot indoor play center features a thrilling swing ride. It also has a soft play area with six different slides, offering lots of fun for younger explorers.

Robin Hood Zone

Join Robin Hood for outdoor adventures in the Robin Hood Zone. This area is great for all ages, with many rides and games. It's also where you'll find the exciting water park, perfect for cooling off on a warm day.

Sheriff's Falconry Zone

The Tropical Zone
