History
Whitcomb has a bit of history! A long time ago, in 1881, a post office opened here. This was a place where people could send and receive letters and packages. The post office served the community for many years, but it closed down in 1922. The name "Whitcomb" comes from a person named H. F. Whitcomb. He was an important official who worked for the railroad. So, the community was named after him.
