Whitecloud (sometimes spelled White Cloud) is a small place in Nodaway County, Missouri, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government. Whitecloud is about 12 miles south of Maryville, Missouri, which is the main town of Nodaway County. It's also just west of a big road called US Route 71.

It's important not to mix up this Whitecloud with another place called White Cloud in Hickory County, Missouri. That one is further southeast, near Hermitage, Missouri.

A Look Back: Whitecloud's History

Whitecloud has been around for a long time. A post office opened here in 1856. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1901. The community got its name from a nearby stream. This stream is called White Cloud Creek.
