History of Whitewater
Moving the Town
Whitewater wasn't always in the exact same spot. In 1927, the entire town picked up and moved. It shifted about 7 miles west from its original location.
This big move happened so the town could be closer to the new Great Northern Railway branch line. Being near the railway was important for trade and travel back then.
