Whitsett is a small community in Live Oak County, Texas, United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own local government like a city does. Whitsett is located where two main roads, U.S. Route 281 and FM 99, meet. It's also near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The community started in 1913 when a railroad was built through the area. Whitsett is known for being the setting of a 2008 horror movie called The Wild Man of the Navidad.
