Live Oak County is a county located in the state of Texas in the United States. It was named for the many live oak trees that grow naturally in the area. The main town and county seat is George West. In 2020, about 11,335 people lived in Live Oak County.

Live Oak County covers a total area of about 1,079 square miles. Of this, 1,040 square miles is land, and 39 square miles (about 3.6%) is water. The county is also home to the Choke Canyon Reservoir, a large lake.
