Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones MBE (born 7 November 1957) is a British businessman and farmer. He is famous for creating "The Black Farmer" food brand. He also tried to become a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party in the 2010 election, but he did not win.

Early Life
Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones was born in Clarendon, Jamaica. In 1961, when he was very young, he moved to the United Kingdom with his parents. They settled in Small Heath, a part of Birmingham. He grew up in a small terrace house with eight brothers and sisters.
His Career in TV
Wilfred first worked in the food industry. Then, he joined a training program that led him to a job at the BBC. He worked with Peter Bazalgette on a TV show called Food and Drink.
He continued working in television for 15 years. He was a producer and director. He even appeared in a web series called Carpool in 2010.
A TV show called Cameron's Black Tory was shown on Channel 4 in 2010. This show followed Wilfred for four years. It showed his journey as he tried to become an MP for the Conservative Party in Chippenham.
Becoming "The Black Farmer"
Wilfred's work in television helped him earn enough money to buy a farm. He bought Higher West Kitcham Farm, which is located between Devon and Cornwall. He still farms there today.
Local people who helped him with farming started calling him "The Black Farmer." This nickname gave him the idea to create his food brand, "The Black Farmer." His brand sells popular products like sausages, chicken, ham, and sauces.
His success even inspired another person, Danny Clarke, a gardener, to call himself "The Black Gardener." This helped Danny become more well-known in his own field.
Helping Others: The Scholarship
Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones is also involved in the Black Farmer Scholarship. This program helps and encourages young people from ethnic minorities to work in farming and rural areas. These areas have not had many people from diverse backgrounds working in them before.
This idea was even turned into a Channel 4 TV series called Young Black Farmers. In this series, Wilfred takes a group of nine young people from inner-city schools. They are from ethnic minorities and get to learn about farming on his Devon farm.
In 2020, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones was given a special award. He was made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his great work in British farming.

Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones tried to become a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party in the Chippenham area during the 2010 general election. However, he did not win the election.
He is married and has a son and a daughter. He also has an adult son from an earlier marriage.
