George Francis William Child Villiers, 10th Earl of Jersey (born 5 February 1976), also known as William Villiers, is a British nobleman. A nobleman is a person who belongs to a special, high-ranking family, often with a title. He is also a peer, which means he holds a noble title like "Earl."

He used to work as a film producer, actor, and writer. He was also in charge of "Intellectual Property" for a company called HandMade Films. This means he helped protect the ideas and creations of the film company.

Education and Early Career

George was born the oldest son of George Child Villiers, who was a guitarist, and his mother, Sacha. He went to several schools, including St. Michael's School in Jersey, Mount House School, Canford School, Nene College (now Northampton University), and Birmingham School of Speech and Drama.

When his father passed away in 1998, George briefly used the title Viscount Grandison. This was a family tradition where the next in line for the title would switch between "Viscount Villiers" and "Viscount Grandison."

Becoming the Earl of Jersey

In August 1998, he became the 10th Earl of Jersey after his grandfather passed away. In 1999, he joined the House of Lords. The House of Lords is part of the UK Parliament, where important laws are discussed. He joined just before some big changes were made to how the House of Lords worked.

Family Home: Radier Manor

In 2007, the Earl of Jersey decided to sell his family's home, Radier Manor. This property is located on the island of Jersey. It included several other buildings and about 70 acres (28 hectares) of land. The asking price was £12.5 million. However, the property was later taken off the market and not sold.
