William Cuningham, also known as Kenningham, was a very smart English person from the 1500s. He was a physician (a doctor), an astrologer (someone who studied the stars and planets), and an engraver (an artist who carves designs onto surfaces). He worked in the city of Norwich around the year 1559. That same year, Cuningham published his important book called The Cosmographical Glasse. This book was special because it included many woodcuts (pictures carved into wood) and even a map of Norwich seen from above, like a bird's-eye view!
