William Charles Anthony Gaunt (born on April 3, 1937) is an English actor. He is well-known for his roles in many TV shows. Some of his most famous parts include Richard Barrett in The Champions and Arthur Crabtree in No Place Like Home. He also played Andrew Prentice in Next of Kin. William Gaunt has had a long career in television and on stage. He has acted and directed plays, even working with the famous Royal Shakespeare Company.

William Gaunt's father was a lawyer. William went to Giggleswick School and then studied at Baylor University in Texas. After that, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
