William Reibert Mapother Jr. (born April 17, 1965) is an American actor. He is well-known for playing the character Ethan Rom in the TV show Lost. He also starred in the movie In the Bedroom and was featured in Another Earth.

William Mapother Jr. was born in Louisville, Kentucky. His parents were Louisa and William Reibert Mapother Sr. His father worked as a lawyer and was a judge in Louisville for a few years.
William Mapother Jr. is also the first cousin of famous actor Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise's full birth name is Thomas Cruise Mapother IV.
William Mapother's Acting Career
William Mapother is known as a character actor. This means he often plays interesting and sometimes intense roles. He had an important part in the movie In the Bedroom.
