In 1754, William Napier married Mary Cathcart. Mary was the daughter of Charles Cathcart, 8th Lord Cathcart. William and Mary had a son named Francis Napier. They also had a daughter named Mary (1756–1806). Their daughter Mary later married a minister named Very Rev Andrew Hunter.
Becoming Lord Napier
