Willow Beach is a cool spot found on the Arizona side of the Colorado River. It's located right between two big lakes: Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. Both of these lakes are part of the huge Lake Mead National Recreation Area, which is looked after by the U.S. National Park Service.

The Fish Hatchery at Willow Beach

Willow Beach is also home to the Willow Beach National Fish Hatchery. This special place is run by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, which is part of the Department of the Interior.

The hatchery helps to raise fish for different reasons. One main goal is to produce Rainbow Trout for people who enjoy sport fishing. They release Rainbow Trout into the waters all year round. The hatchery also works to protect fish that are in danger of disappearing. They raise two endangered species: the Razorback Sucker and the Bonytail Chub. By raising these fish, the hatchery helps to make sure they don't vanish forever.
