Wilson Robert "Frog" Redus (born January 29, 1905 – died March 23, 1979) was a talented American baseball player. He was known as an infielder, playing in the middle of the baseball field. Wilson Redus played for many years in the Negro Leagues, from 1924 to 1940. Some of his most famous teams were the St. Louis Stars and the Chicago American Giants.

Wilson 'Frog' Redus: A Baseball Star

Wilson Redus earned the nickname "Frog." He was a right-handed batter and threw with his right hand too. His career in baseball lasted for 17 seasons.

Playing in the Negro Leagues

Wilson Redus played in the Negro Leagues. These leagues were professional baseball leagues for African American players. He spent many years with the St. Louis Stars, from 1924 to 1931. He even played a bit with the Kansas City Monarchs in 1930.

Later in his career, from 1934 to 1940, Wilson Redus played for the Chicago American Giants. He also played for other teams like the Cleveland Stars, Columbus Blue Birds, Cleveland Giants, and Cleveland Red Sox.
