Windermere was a community in Travis County, Texas, United States. It was once called a "census-designated place" (CDP). In 2010, about 1,037 people lived there. Since then, much of Windermere has become part of the nearby city of Pflugerville.
Where is Windermere Located?
Windermere is found at 30°27′31″N 97°39′45″W / 30.45861°N 97.66250°W. This is about 14 miles (23 kilometers) northeast of downtown Austin.
In 2000, the area of Windermere was about 2.1 square miles (5.5 square kilometers). All of this land was dry ground. Before the 2010 census, some parts of Windermere were added to the cities of Pflugerville and Round Rock. This made Windermere smaller, reducing its total area to 0.53 square miles (1.37 square kilometers). After more areas were added to Pflugerville, Windermere was no longer listed as a separate CDP in the 2020 census.

In the year 2000, there were 6,868 people living in Windermere. These people lived in 2,232 homes, and 1,805 of these were families. The community had about 3,217 people per square mile (1,242 people per square kilometer).
