The Winter's brand started in 1997. It was created by a company in Lima, Peru, called Good Foods S.A. At that time, Good Foods S.A. was the biggest company in Peru that sent chocolates to other countries.
Later, in 2007, a large food company from Colombia bought Good Foods S.A. This company was Grupo Nacional de Chocolates. They bought Good Foods S.A. and the Winter's brand for about 36 million US dollars. They made this purchase through their Peruvian branch, Compañía Nacional de Chocolates de Perú S.A..
