Where is Winterport Located?
Winterport is found in the northeastern part of Waldo County. It sits right along the Penobscot River. Across the river is Hancock County.

Winterport is in the southeastern corner of its larger town. It shares borders with Frankfort to the south and Bucksport to the east. U.S. Route 1 is the main road that runs through Winterport.
Winterport Historic District
A special part of Winterport's town center is called the Winterport Historic District. This area is important because it has many old buildings and places that tell a story about the past.
