It's not a city or town with its own government, but rather a group of homes and buildings that are part of the larger county. Wolf Springs is about 12.5 miles (20.1 km) northwest of Moulton.

Exploring Wolf Springs' Past
Wolf Springs has a simple but interesting history. It was once a busier place than it is today.
Early Days and the Post Office
The community had its own post office for a short time. It opened in 1848. Mail was delivered and sent from Wolf Springs. However, the post office closed nine years later, in 1857.
The Story of Wolf Springs School
A special building in Wolf Springs was the school. The Wolf Springs School was built in 1936. Five acres of land were given to help build it. This new school brought together students from several smaller schools nearby. These included Roden, Masterson, Oak Grove, and Beaver Cross schools.
The school taught students for about 25 years. After it closed, students from Wolf Springs went to school in a nearby community called Hatton.
Community Hub and Present Day
Even after the school closed, the building remained important. It was used as a place for people to vote. It also served as a community center. Many fun events happened there, like fall festivals and family reunions. Sometimes, hunting field trials were held nearby. Today, the old school building is empty. It has been damaged over time.
