Woof! is a fun British children's television show. It was made by Central Independent Television. The story is about a boy who can magically turn into a dog! This is called shapeshifting.

The TV series is based on a book by Allan Ahlberg. David Cobham directed the show. Richard Fegen and Andrew Norriss wrote the scripts. Andrew Norriss also wrote new books based on the TV show's second, third, and fourth series. These books were called Woof! The Tale Wags On, Woof! The Tale Gets Longer, and Woof! A Twist in the Tale.

Meet the Main Characters

The show follows the adventures of a boy who suddenly finds himself turning into a dog. This happens at unexpected times, leading to many funny and sometimes tricky situations. He has to learn how to deal with his secret power.

The Boys Who Woofed

Over the years, three different actors played the main boy character who could turn into a dog:

  • Edward Fidoe played the boy from 1989 to 1993. He was the first to bring the character to life.
  • Adam Roper took over the role from 1993 to 1997. He continued the adventures for many seasons.
  • Sebastian Mahjouri played the boy in the final series in 1997.

The show also featured other important actors like Liza Goddard, Sarah Smart, and John Bowler.
