WordWorld is a fun and educational CGI animated TV show. It was created by Don Moody, Jacqueline Moody, Peter Schneider, and Gary Friedman. The show is based on popular books and wooden puzzles.

WordWorld first aired on PBS Kids on September 3, 2007. It ran for three seasons and had 45 episodes, ending on January 17, 2011. The series was produced by The Learning Box and WTTW Chicago.

About WordWorld

This animated series takes you on adventures with a group of animal characters. These characters are unique because their bodies are shaped like the letters that spell their names. For example, the character "Dog" has a 'D' for its head and an 'O' and 'G' for its body.

How Words Come Alive

In WordWorld, most objects and places are also made of letters. You might see a 'Barn' made of the letters B-A-R-N, or a 'Log' made of L-O-G. When the characters need something, they "build" the word by putting the letters together. Once the word is built, it magically turns into the actual object!

Sometimes, adding an 'S' to a word makes things multiply. For instance, if you add an 'S' to "Pie," you get "Pies," and suddenly there are many pies! This helps viewers learn about plural words. However, not everything is made of letters. Clouds, water in the distance, and small items like envelopes are just regular objects.

Meet the WordFriends: Voice Cast

A talented group of actors brought the WordFriends to life. Here are some of the main voices you might recognize:
