Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation facts for kids
Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation is a group of First Nations people who are part of the Swampy Cree community. Their main community is located in Manitoba, Canada. You can find them northeast of Birch River, Manitoba, right by the western side of Swan Lake. The area around them, called the Rural Municipality of Mountain (North), borders their land to the west and south.
As of April 2011, there were 623 people officially registered with the Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation. Out of these, 197 people lived on their own Indian reserve land. The leader of the First Nation is called a Chief. At that time, the Chief for Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation was Elwood Zastre.

Swan Lake 65C Reserve
The Swan Lake 65C reserve is very important to the Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation. It is their main reserve. This is where the community of Indian Birch is located. You can find Indian Birch at these coordinates: 52°30′40″N 100°52′00″W.
The Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation also shares a piece of land called Treaty Four Reserve Grounds 77. This land is near Fort Qu'Appelle, in Saskatchewan. It is shared with 32 other First Nations. This shows how different First Nations communities can work together and share important historical lands.
