Xevious facts for kids
Xevious is a classic video game created by Namco. It first appeared in 1982 in arcades, which are places with many coin-operated games. It was one of the first games to use a special kind of graphics called "sprite-scaling," which made objects look like they were moving closer or farther away.
What is Xevious?
Xevious is a type of game called a "vertical-scrolling shooter." This means you control a spaceship that flies upwards on the screen. As you fly, you have to shoot down enemies and avoid their attacks. The game has a unique feature: you can shoot at enemies in the air and also drop bombs on targets on the ground. This made the gameplay more interesting than many other games at the time.
