Xiu Xiu is an American band that started in 2002. The main member of the band is Jamie Stewart. Other members include Shayna Dunkelman, Ches Smith, and Angela Seo. So far, they have released nine studio albums.

Music Career

Xiu Xiu released their first album, Knife Play, in 2002. In 2008, they released an album called Women As Lovers. One of the songs on this album, "Under Pressure", is a cover. It was originally a famous song by Queen and David Bowie from 1981. Michael Gera also sings on Xiu Xiu's version of the song.

Their ninth album, Always, came out in 2012. Later that year, on December 2, 2012, they released another album called Nina. This album was special because it featured covers of songs by the legendary singer Nina Simone. Xiu Xiu then released their ninth studio album, Angel Guts: Red Classroom, on February 4, 2014. Another album, Unclouded Sky, was planned for release later in 2014.
