Yūsuke Tanaka (Japanese: 田中 裕介, born on April 14, 1986) is a Japanese former professional footballer. He played as a defender during his career. Tanaka was known for his strong defensive skills on the field.

Playing Career Highlights
Yūsuke Tanaka had a long and successful career playing for several football clubs. He spent most of his time in Japan's top football league, the J-League.
Early Years in Japan
Tanaka started his professional journey with Yokohama F. Marinos in 2005. He played there for six seasons, showing his talent as a defender. After that, he moved to Kawasaki Frontale in 2011. He played many games for them until 2014.
Time in Australia
In 2015, Tanaka decided to try playing football in another country. He joined the A-League team Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia. He played for them for a short period before returning to Japan later that year.
Return to Japan and Later Career
After his time in Australia, Tanaka returned to Japan to play for Cerezo Osaka. With Cerezo Osaka, he achieved some great successes. He helped the team win the J.League Cup and the Emperor's Cup in 2017. These were big wins for his team!
Later in his career, he also played for Fagiano Okayama and Shibuya City FC. He officially retired from playing professional football after the 2022 season.
