Santiago "Yago" Iglesias Estepa (born on October 6, 1982) is a Spanish football manager. He is currently the manager of CD Lugo.

Yago Iglesias's Football Journey
Yago Iglesias was born in Palmeira, a town in Ribeira, Galicia, Spain. He started his career in football as an assistant manager. He worked with teams like CD Boiro and Pontevedra CF B.
Starting as a Manager
In 2010, Yago Iglesias began his journey as a senior manager. His first team was CSH Palmeira, which played in a regional league called the Terceira Autonómica. After this, he worked as an assistant at Portonovo SD. He even joined Raúl Caneda's team at Al-Ittihad FC in Saudi Arabia for a short time.
Returning to Spain
Yago Iglesias came back to Spain in January 2013. Later that year, on July 22, he took charge of Atlético de Riveira. This team also played in the regional leagues.
Managing in Higher Leagues
In July 2015, Iglesias became the manager of CF Noia. This was a step up, as Noia played in the Tercera División, a higher league. The next year, on June 21, he moved to manage another team in the same league, SD Compostela.
Success with Compostela
Yago Iglesias had great success with Compos, as SD Compostela is often called. He led the team to the play-offs three times in a row. In 2020, his team finally won promotion to Segunda División B. This meant the team returned to a higher division after four seasons. He continued to manage Compostela for another year.
Moving to Zamora and Pontevedra
In May 2021, Iglesias left Compostela after five successful years. On November 23, he became the manager of Zamora CF, a team in the Primera División RFEF. He stayed with Zamora until May 30, 2023. During his time there, the team faced a relegation, but then made it to the promotion play-offs.
On June 16, 2023, Yago Iglesias was appointed manager of Pontevedra CF. This team played in the Segunda Federación. He led Pontevedra to a great achievement. On May 28, 2025, his team won their group and earned promotion to a higher league. After this success, he left the club.
Joining CD Lugo
On June 19, 2025, Yago Iglesias was announced as the new manager for CD Lugo. This team plays in the Primera Federación. He signed a contract to manage them for the upcoming season.
