Yan Yan is a yummy Japanese snack made by the company Meiji Seika. It first came out in 1979!

It comes in a cool package with two parts. One part has crunchy biscuit sticks (sometimes called cracker sticks). The other part holds a creamy dip! You can find dips like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or even yogurt flavor. Sometimes, the sticks themselves have a flavor too! You might see Yan Yan in rectangular boxes with 9 sticks and dip. There's even a newer version with two different dips in one pack!

Delicious Flavors

Yan Yan comes in many different flavors! You can find vanilla sticks with chocolate, strawberry, mango, or vanilla cream dips. There's also a newer hazelnut dip. Or, you can get chocolate sticks with vanilla cream.

Yan Yan and Other Snacks

Yan Yan is similar to other popular snacks.

Pocky

Pocky is another Japanese snack. It has thinner sticks that are already dipped in cream. Pocky offers a lot more cream flavors, like green tea or honey. With Yan Yan, you get to dip the sticks yourself! Yan Yan has fewer dip flavors than Pocky.

Hello Panda

Meiji, the company that makes Yan Yan, also makes a snack called Hello Panda. These are cute panda-shaped biscuits. They have yummy fillings inside, like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or matcha (green tea) flavor.

Other Dipping Snacks

Yan Yan is also a bit like the American snack called Dunk-a-roos.

Nutella also has a snack called "Nutella & Go." It comes with breadsticks or pretzels that you can dip into their famous hazelnut spread. The packaging looks similar to Yan Yan. However, Yan Yan is usually taller, while Nutella & Go is wider.
