Yang Xiaobo (born January 1963 – died January 2020) was a Chinese politician. A politician is someone who works in government. From 2009 to December 2014, he was the mayor of Huangshi. A mayor is the leader of a city.

Yang Xiaobo was born in January 1963 in Tianmen, a city in the Hubei province of China. He grew up and studied in China. He went to two universities: Beijing Jiaotong University and Tianjin University.
His Work as Mayor
Yang Xiaobo served as the mayor of Huangshi city. He held this important job from 2009 until December 2014. As mayor, he was in charge of running the city and making decisions for its people.
His Later Years
In January 2020, Yang Xiaobo passed away in Hubei. He was 56 or 57 years old. He died from a lung illness called pneumonia. This illness was caused by a new virus known as coronavirus.
