Yauyos is a town located in the central part of Peru. It serves as the main town, also known as the capital, of the Yauyos Province. This province is part of the larger Lima Region.
Yauyos is also important as it is the official home of the Territorial Prelature of Yauyos. This means it's a special area managed by a high-ranking church official.

Yauyos is found in the Lima Region of Peru. It is situated in the highlands, which means it's in a mountainous area. The town is quite high up, at an elevation of 2,874 meters (about 9,429 feet) above sea level.
