Playing for Universities
From 2016 to 2018, Yazmeen played soccer for Carleton University. She had an injury in 2017, but she kept working hard. In 2019, she decided to stop playing college soccer. This allowed her to play professionally overseas in New Zealand. She hoped this would help her get picked for the Jamaican national team. Her goal was to play in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
In 2024, she started attending George Brown College. She joined their women's soccer team. On September 6, she played her first game. She helped her team win against the Loyalist Lad Lancers without letting any goals in. At the end of the 2024 season, she was named a top player. She earned a spot on the OCAA East Division First Team All-Star list.
Becoming a Pro Player
In 2019, Yazmeen joined a club in New Zealand called Papakura City. This was where she played her first senior professional game.
In 2021, Yazmeen signed a short contract with a Swedish club, P18 IK. They were in the second division. She started in 6 of the 7 games she played. She helped her team reach the final playoffs. Her team won the final match, which meant they moved up to Division 1 in Sweden!
In 2022, she came back to Canada. She joined the Simcoe County Rovers club in League1 Ontario. She was recognized as a Third Team All-Star in the league that year.
Later in September 2022, she moved to France. She joined the club GPSO 92 Issy in the French Division 2 Féminine.

Playing for Her Country
Yazmeen's international journey began early. In 2013, when she was 15, she visited Jamaica with her youth club team. The Jamaican women's soccer director found out about her Jamaican family background. He arranged for her to try out for the Jamaican U20 team.
Soon after, she was chosen for the Jamaican U17 team. They were preparing for a U17 World Cup qualifier. However, she couldn't get her Jamaican citizenship and passport ready in time. So, she was unable to join the team for that competition.
In November 2017, she played her first game for the Jamaica U20 team. She was later named to the team for the 2018 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship.
In 2018, Yazmeen was called up to the Jamaica senior team for the very first time.
