Yazmeen Ann Ryan (born February 25, 1999) is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a forward or midfielder. Yazmeen plays for the Houston Dash in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She also plays for the U.S. National Team.
She played college soccer for the TCU Horned Frogs. Yazmeen was picked sixth in the 2021 NWSL Draft by Portland Thorns FC. She played for Portland for two years. After that, she joined NJ/NY Gotham FC. Ryan has won two NWSL Championships, one with Portland and one with Gotham.

Yazmeen Ryan's Early Life
Yazmeen Ryan grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. She went to Norman North High School. She played for a club team called Oklahoma Celtic. When she was a freshman, she helped Norman North win their first-ever girls' soccer state championship.
College Soccer at TCU
Ryan joined TCU in 2017. She played as an attacking midfielder. In 2020, she was the team captain. She helped her team win their first Big 12 conference championship. However, she missed the final game because of an injury.
Professional Club Career
Ryan played for Oklahoma City before joining the NWSL. She was even named to the club's all-time Best XI.
Playing for Portland Thorns
The Portland Thorns picked Yazmeen Ryan as the sixth overall player in the 2021 NWSL Draft. The Thorns really wanted her on their team. They even traded other picks to move up and choose her. Ryan was a starter for the Portland Thorns in the 2022 NWSL Championship Final. Her team won the championship on October 29, 2022.
Moving to NJ/NY Gotham FC
On January 5, 2023, Ryan was traded to NJ/NY Gotham FC. This trade involved three different teams. In the 2023 season, she played in more games for Gotham than any other player. She started in the 2023 NWSL Championship Final. In that game, Gotham beat OL Reign 2–1, winning another championship.
Joining Houston Dash
The Houston Dash announced on December 7, 2024, that Yazmeen Ryan would be joining their team. They got her from Gotham FC. As of July 2025, she has played 10 games and scored 1 goal for the Houston Dash.
International Soccer Career
Ryan has played for the United States national youth teams. She played two games for the under-18 team in April 2018. She also played three games for the under-23 team in April 2019.
She was first called to play for the senior national team in October 2024. This was during the team's celebration tour after winning an Olympic gold medal. Ryan played her first game for the U.S. team on October 24, 2024. It was a 3–1 win against Iceland. As of July 2025, she has played 12 games for the U.S. national team and scored 2 goals.
