Yazmeen Ann Ryan, born on February 25, 1999, is an American professional soccer player. She plays as a forward or midfielder. Yazmeen currently plays for the Houston Dash in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She also plays for the U.S. National Team. Before joining the Dash, she played college soccer for the TCU Horned Frogs. She was picked sixth in the 2021 NWSL Draft by Portland Thorns FC. Yazmeen played for Portland for two years. Later, she joined NJ/NY Gotham FC. Ryan has won two NWSL Championships, one with Portland and one with Gotham.

Early Life and College Soccer
Yazmeen Ryan grew up in Norman, Oklahoma. She went to Norman North High School. She played for a club team called Oklahoma Celtic. In her first year of high school, she helped Norman North win their first-ever girls' soccer state championship.
Playing for TCU Horned Frogs
In 2017, Ryan joined TCU as an attacking midfielder. She became the team captain in 2020. She led her team to win their first Big 12 conference championship. However, Yazmeen missed the final championship game because of an injury.
Professional Club Career
Before college, Ryan played for Oklahoma City. She was later named one of the best players in the club's history.
Time with Portland Thorns
In the 2021 NWSL Draft, the Portland Thorns chose Yazmeen Ryan as the sixth overall pick. The Thorns really wanted her on their team. They even traded some other draft picks to move up and select her. Ryan started for the Portland Thorns in the 2022 NWSL Championship Final. Her team won the championship on October 29, 2022.
Joining NJ/NY Gotham FC
On January 5, 2023, Ryan moved to NJ/NY Gotham FC. This happened as part of a trade involving three teams. In 2023, she played in more games for Gotham than any other player. She also started in the 2023 NWSL Championship Final. In that game, Gotham won against OL Reign with a score of 2–1.
Moving to Houston Dash
On December 7, 2024, the Houston Dash announced they had signed Yazmeen Ryan. She moved from Gotham to the Dash. This trade involved money and a spot for an international player.
Playing for the National Team
Yazmeen Ryan has played for the United States national youth teams. She played two games for the under-18 team in April 2018. She also played three games for the under-23 team in April 2019.
In October 2024, she was called up to the senior national team for the first time. This was for a special tour after the team won an Olympic gold medal. Ryan played her first game for the senior team on October 24, 2024. The U.S. team won 3–1 against Iceland.
