A Look Back at Yellowstone's Past
Yellowstone has an interesting history. It wasn't always known by its current name. Long ago, this community was called Hunters Creek.
In 1887, an important building opened in Yellowstone: a post office. A post office is where people send and receive letters, packages, and other mail. It helped connect the people of Yellowstone with friends and family far away. The post office served the community for many years, helping people communicate. It finally closed its doors in 1923.
