Yevhen Viktorovych Levchenko, also known as Evgeniy Levchenko, is a former professional football player from Ukraine. He was born on January 2, 1978, in Kostiantynivka, which was then part of the Soviet Union. Yevhen played as a midfielder for many different clubs during his career.
After he stopped playing football, he even appeared on a Russian TV show called The Bachelor-Kholostyak. Later, he became the president of the Dutch trade union for professional footballers.

Yevhen Levchenko's Football Journey
Starting His Career
Yevhen began his football journey in 1993. He played for a local club called Metalurh Kostiantynivka. The next year, he moved to Shakhtar Donetsk, which is one of the best football clubs in Ukraine.
In 1996, Levchenko moved to a Russian club, CSKA Moscow. From there, he went to the Netherlands to play for Vitesse Arnhem. He also played for Helmond Sport on loan.
Playing in the Netherlands and Beyond
In 1998, Yevhen joined Cambuur and played there for two years. He returned to Vitesse Arnhem in 2000 and stayed until 2003. After that, he moved to Sparta Rotterdam.
In 2005, Levchenko joined another Dutch club, FC Groningen. He played there until the 2008–09 season. In 2009, he signed a contract with FC Saturn Moscow Oblast in Russia.
In 2010, Levchenko went back to the Netherlands to play for Willem II. The next year, in 2011, he signed with Adelaide United, a club in Australia. He scored his first goal for Adelaide United in an Asian Champions League playoff game in February 2012. He left the club in March 2012.
Life After Football
On January 30, 2014, Yevhen announced that he was retiring from professional football. He decided to study marketing instead. Later, on July 1, 2019, he became the president of the Dutch trade union for professional footballers. This union helps professional football players.
Playing for His Country
In 2001, Levchenko was called to play for the Ukraine national team. He was part of the team for the 2002 World Cup qualification games.
He played his first game for Ukraine against Norway. Overall, he played for his country 8 times.
A New Home
In 2001, Yevhen became a citizen of the Netherlands. This means he gained the same rights as people born in the Netherlands.
