Yoann Huget (born 2 June 1987) is a former French rugby union player. He was known for playing as a wing or fullback. These positions are important in rugby for both attacking and defending.

Playing Career

Starting Out in Clubs

Yoann Huget began his rugby journey with Stade Toulousain in the 2005–06 season. This is one of the biggest rugby clubs in France. He scored his first try, which is like a touchdown in American football, in November 2006. This was during a game against CA Brive.

In 2008, he moved to SU Agen. During the 2008–09 season, he had a fantastic year. He scored 14 tries for Agen, making him the top try-scorer that season. After playing a few more games, he then joined another top French club, Bayonne. He played there for two seasons.

Returning to Toulouse

Yoann Huget returned to his first club, Stade Toulousain, at the start of the 2012–13 season. He played for Toulouse for many more years, until 2021. During his time there, he helped the team win important championships.

Playing for France

Because he played so well in the 2010–11 season, Yoann was chosen to play for the French national rugby team. This was a big honor for him. He made his first international appearance for France on November 20, 2010. He played against Argentina as a right wing.

He was initially picked for France's team for the 2011 Rugby World Cup. However, he had to leave the squad because of rules about player health checks. Later, he was selected again for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Sadly, he got a serious knee injury in the very first game against Italy. This meant he had to leave the tournament, and another player, Rémy Grosso, took his place.

Yoann Huget scored 14 tries for the French national team during his career. These tries came in various important matches and tournaments. He was a key player for France for many years.
