Yoder is a small place in Allen County, Indiana, in the United States. It's known as an unincorporated town, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a regular town. Instead, it's managed by the county. Yoder is located in Pleasant Township. It is about eight miles northwest of another place called Magley, Indiana.
History of Yoder
Yoder has an interesting past. It wasn't always called Yoder! Long ago, this area was known as Sheldon. The name changed because of the railroad. When the railroad came through, they decided to rename the place Yoder.
The community also got its own post office in 1934. This made it easier for people living in Yoder to send and receive mail.
