Yohei Fukumoto's Football Journey
Yohei Fukumoto started his football journey at a young age. He played for youth clubs before joining professional teams.
Early Career and Youth Teams
Fukumoto began playing football with Akeno Nishi JFC. Later, he joined the youth team of Oita Trinita from 2000 to 2005. This was where he developed his skills as a defender.
Playing for Japan's National Youth Team
In July 2007, Yohei Fukumoto was chosen to play for the Japan U-20 national team. This was a big step in his career. He played in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which is a major international tournament for young players.
At this tournament, he was the captain of the team. He played every minute of all four matches. This shows how important he was to the team's defense. He also represented Japan in the AFC Youth Championship 2006 where his team finished in second place.

Yohei Fukumoto played for several professional clubs in Japan. He started his senior career with Oita Trinita in 2005.
One of his most successful periods was with Gamba Osaka in 2008. During his time there, the team won some very important titles. After Gamba Osaka, he played for JEF United Chiba for three seasons.
He then moved to Tokushima Vortis in 2012, where he played for five seasons. He was a regular player for them. Later in his career, he also played for Renofa Yamaguchi and Verspah Oita before retiring from professional football.
