Yohei Fukumoto (福元 洋平, Fukumoto Yōhei, born 12 April 1987 in Ōita, Ōita) is a Japanese retired footballer. He played as a centre back. Fukumoto played for several teams in Japan. He also represented his country in youth international competitions.

Playing for Japan
Youth National Team
In July 2007, Yohei Fukumoto was chosen for the Japan Under-20 national team. He played in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. This was a very important tournament for young players. Fukumoto was the captain of the team. He played every minute of all four matches in the competition.
He also played for Japan's youth teams in other big events:
- In 2006, he played in the qualification rounds for the AFC Youth Championship 2006.
- Later in 2006, he helped the Japan U-19 team reach second place in the AFC Youth Championship 2006.
Club Career
Yohei Fukumoto started his football journey in youth teams. He played for Akeno Nishi JFC and Oita Trinita's youth squad. He then became a professional player.
Early Career
Fukumoto joined Oita Trinita in 2005. He played there for three years. After that, he moved to Gamba Osaka in 2008. While at Gamba Osaka, he helped the team win some major trophies.
Moving to New Teams
From 2009 to 2011, Fukumoto played for JEF United Chiba. He then joined Tokushima Vortis in 2012. He spent five seasons with Tokushima Vortis. He played many games for them, scoring one goal. Later, he played for Renofa Yamaguchi and Verspah Oita.

Yohei Fukumoto won several important titles during his career, especially with Gamba Osaka.
