Yolanda Tortolero was a doctor. She worked for many years at the Bejuma Hospital. This hospital is in Carabobo state, which was her home.
Becoming a Politician
In 2015, she was chosen to be an alternate deputy for the National Assembly. This happened during the parliamentary elections. These elections are how people choose their representatives for the government. She represented the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD) and the A New Era (UNT) political parties.
Important Vote in the Assembly
In 2020, Yolanda Tortolero was one of 100 deputies who voted in person. They voted to keep Juan Guaidó as the president of the Assembly. This was during the National Assembly Delegated Committee election.
Her Final Days
