Yoon Sam-yook (born May 25, 1937 – died July 2, 2020) was a talented South Korean film director and screenwriter. He was known for creating many interesting movies.

Yoon Sam-yook won several important awards for his movie scripts. He received the Best Screenplay award at the Korean Association of Film Critics Awards in 1981, 1985, and 1994. These awards were for his films The Hut (1981), The King's Poison (1984), and I Will Survive (1993).

In 2016, he received a special Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grand Bell Awards. This award honored his long and successful career in filmmaking. Yoon Sam-yook passed away in 2020 when he was 83 years old.
