Early Life and Start in Football
Yoshiro Abe was born in Niihama, a city in Ehime Prefecture, Japan, on July 5, 1980. He started his football journey in high school and then played for Ryutsu Keizai University.
Yoshiro Abe's Playing Career
Yoshiro Abe had an exciting career playing for several clubs in Japan's top football leagues. He was known for his skills as a forward.
Joining FC Tokyo
In November 2002, Abe joined FC Tokyo, a club in the J1 League, which is Japan's highest football division. From 2003, he often played as a substitute forward, coming off the bench to help his team. With FC Tokyo, he won the J.League Cup in 2004, a big achievement for the team.
Loan to Oita Trinita
In 2005, Abe went on loan to Oita Trinita. A loan means a player temporarily moves to another team. During his time there, he played 15 matches but did not score any goals. He returned to FC Tokyo in August of the same year.
Moving to Kashiwa Reysol
In 2007, Abe moved to Kashiwa Reysol. However, he did not get to play in many matches for this club.
Success with Shonan Bellmare
A big part of Abe's career was with Shonan Bellmare. He joined this J2 League club in 2008. He played in many games and was a key player when Bellmare was promoted to the J1 League at the end of the 2009 season. This was a great success for the team! In 2010, he played in all 34 matches of the season. However, Bellmare was relegated back to the J2 League that year.
Venturing to Ventforet Kofu
In 2011, Abe moved to Ventforet Kofu, a club that had just been promoted to the J1 League. He played in many matches for them. Unfortunately, Ventforet Kofu was also relegated to the J2 League at the end of the season.
Time with Júbilo Iwata
From 2012, Abe played for Júbilo Iwata, another J1 League club. He continued to play in many games. In 2013, Júbilo Iwata was relegated to the J2 League.
Final Season with Matsumoto Yamaga FC
In 2015, Yoshiro Abe joined Matsumoto Yamaga FC, a team that had just been promoted to the J1 League. He made his first appearance for Matsumoto against Urawa Red Diamonds on April 4, 2015. He scored his first goal for the club against Kashiwa Reysol, scoring in the very last minute of the game. Yoshiro Abe retired from professional football at the end of the 2015 season.
