Yoskar "El Prabu" Sarante (born January 2, 1970 – died January 28, 2019) was a very popular Dominican bachata singer. He was known for his romantic songs and his unique voice.

Yoskar Sarante was born in 1970 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He was the second child of Domingo and Ramona Sarante Ventura. Yoskar was the first in his family to become involved in music.

As a child, Yoskar often sang with his father in parks and public squares. His father played the guitar, and they earned money this way. Yoskar also took part in many children's singing contests. One of the most famous was called "Mundo Infantil."

He first started in merengue and was part of a merengue band called International Grupo Melao. Later, he became a key singer in the "nueva bachata" (new bachata) movement. His music was featured on popular albums like Bachata Tipico and The Rough Guide to Bachata.

Yoskar Sarante became famous around the world. He even sang for the mayor at the New York Mets stadium in the United States. His songs were always about love and romance.

Yoskar Sarante passed away on January 28, 2019. He died from a lung condition called pulmonary fibrosis. He was in a hospital in Orlando, Florida, and was surrounded by his family.
