Related shows Candid Camera

You're On! was a fun American TV game show. It aired on Nickelodeon in 1998. The show was a bit like Candid Camera, but made just for kids! In You're On!, young contestants tried to get people walking by to do funny tasks. The catch? The people didn't know they were on TV!

The show was filmed at Nickelodeon Studios Florida. Phil Moore was the main host. Vivianne Collins and Travis White were the 'remote' hosts. They helped the kids with their secret missions. Later, reruns of You're On! were shown on Nick GAS.

How the Game Worked

The Secret Missions

Two kid contestants worked together in a secret location. They had to complete three tasks. All tasks were connected by a funny theme. For example, they might have to convince someone to kiss a fish! Or maybe play hopscotch with a kid riding on their back. The kids had 10 minutes to finish these tasks.

If they completed all three tasks, they won a cool prize! Prizes included things like a Nintendo 64, snowboards, or camping gear. If they didn't finish all tasks, they still won a smaller prize. This was usually a gift certificate. For safety, only adults could do the second and third tasks.

The Runaround Game

Three games like this were played in each episode. The last two games had a special part called the "Runaround." This game was played live in the studio. Six people from the audience came down to play. They watched the kids trying to do their tasks. Then, they had to guess how many tasks the kids would finish. If they guessed right, they won a prize!

In the first Runaround, all six players were kids. In the second, it was three kids and three adults. These adults were usually related to the kids.

Messy Fun at the End

At the end of each show, things got messy! One of the adults who didn't win the Runaround came to the center of the stage. Phil Moore and their kid would do silly, messy things to them. This might include pouring slime on them! Or asking questions where a wrong answer meant a messy surprise. Sometimes, they even stomped on big purple balloons to make "grape juice"!

These messy activities were often based on tasks from the show. On the very last episode, the tables turned on Phil Moore! Vivianne Collins and Travis White, along with Phil's son David, surprised him. They slimed him with all sorts of gooey stuff! In another episode, Phil had three adults bob for apples. But the apples were in a bowl of jello and whipped cream! The adults were blindfolded, and the kids gave them directions.
