Nickelodeon Games and Sports for Kids (also known as Nickelodeon GAS or Nick GAS) was an American TV channel. It was part of MTV Networks. This channel was available to many digital cable providers. It was also available on Dish Network.
About Nick GAS
Nick GAS started on March 1, 1999. The channel focused on showing Nickelodeon game shows. By the year 2000, these game shows were no longer shown on the main Nickelodeon channel. Nick GAS was like a kids' version of the Game Show Network. That channel had started a few years earlier in 1994.
Channel Hosts
Some of the first people to host shows on Nick GAS were Dave Aizer and Vivianne Collins. They hosted from 1999 to 2003. Later, Mati Moralejo joined them. He was a host from 2001 to 2005.
When Nick GAS Ended
Nick GAS stopped broadcasting on December 31, 2007. It was replaced by a channel called The N. The N had previously been part of Noggin. However, Dish Network kept showing Nick GAS for a bit longer. They continued to air the channel until April 23, 2009.
