History of Youngs Creek
The area now known as Youngs Creek had a different name when it first started. It was originally called Unionville. This community began around the year 1864.
Later, the name was changed to Youngs Creek. This happened when a post office was opened there in 1867. The community was named after a nearby stream, which is also called Youngs Creek. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed down in 1976.
